We are excited to welcome family members, caregivers, and community members into our schools! Volunteer opportunities may include but are not limited to:
Chaperoning (field trips, winter school ski programs)
Co-curriculars (BES Lego League, DES STEAM afternoons, NHCS Fun Run, coaching support for sports teams)
Reading aloud to students
Afterschool tutoring at NMMS (Homework Club) or NRHS (Project Promise)
PTO events
Volunteer Day (NMMS), Career Day, College Fair, or Field Day (elementary schools)
Supporting teachers with classroom tasks & materials prep
Leading a craft or other kind of activity with a classroom

Volunteer Application Process
All applicants will need to complete the Volunteer Approval Form and Confidentiality Agreement and submit directly to the school office for processing. Forms are also available at each school and at the SAU office.
If approved by the building principal as a "Designated Volunteer," you will receive an email with instructions to schedule an appointment to complete a background check.Â
